William Robinson Gravetye Charity

William Robinson Gravetye Charity manages 750 acres of land between East Grinstead and Sharpthorne.

The estate comprises Gravetye Manor and its historic garden, lakes, managed woodland, permissive paths, bridleways and farmland. William Robinson (1838-1935) is a highly influential figure in the world of gardening and he left Gravetye Estate in his will for the purposes of state forestry and public enjoyment. The charity aims to restore this hidden Sussex gem as a haven for wildlife.
