BOOKING NOW OPEN – Future Skills Sussex – LSIP Key Sector Deep Dive Workshops – January 2023 

Bookings are now being taken for the LSIP Key Sector Deep Dive Workshops at the end of this month. Full booking details can be found below.

To recap, over the last few months, the LSIP project team have been undertaking Deep Dives into the Sussex LSIP key sectors, following on from the Digital Sector deep dive done earlier in the year. The remaining key sectors we’re look at are:

• Engineering and Manufacturing
• Construction
• Visitor and Cultural Industries (includes Hospitality, Cultural & Arts)
• Land-based (includes Agriculture and Viticulture)
• Health and Care (includes Bio Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical)

These short projects are looking at sector data analysis, undertaking employer and education provider interviews to further build up a picture of the skills challenges in the Sussex area and potential ideas for solutions, which we can include in the refresh of the Sussex LSIP report to be submitted to government in May 2023.

In January we will be holding a series of virtual subgroup sessions to share and discuss the findings and initial recommendations from all this work.  Please see below for dates and how to book onto these events.

Employer Workshops

There will be six employer focused workshops for each of the key sector deep dives the LSIP project is looking into aimed at discussing the key findings from the deep dives with local employers

*we have separated out the Visitor and Cultural Industries (includes Hospitality, Cultural & Arts) sector for the purposed of the deep dives, due to the diverse nature of this sector

Skills Provider Workshops

Following on from the employer workshops we will be holding three virtual workshops for skills and education providers across the area. These workshops aim to discuss the key finding from the deep dives, as well as the feedback received from the employer workshops.
