EGBA member Paella Fella opens a new chapter – and invites local businesses to help shape its Paella Challenge

Paella Fella has celebrated the official opening of its new home at The Stone Building in Turners Hill, marking a long-awaited milestone and creating fresh opportunities for business growth, team building and local collaboration.
Held on 24 September, the opening evening welcomed more than 90 guests, with Mims Davies MP performing the official opening. Guests enjoyed tapas, paella and desserts while exploring the venue and meeting the team behind the business.
For Managing Director Nick Blythe, the occasion represented much more than a change of premises.
“It has been a long journey to reach this point, so welcoming everyone to The Stone Building was a very special moment. We now have a base that gives us the space and renewed capacity to develop the business, build on our catering services and bring people together in new ways.”
Central to that next chapter is Paella Fella’s revamped team-building experience, The Paella Challenge, designed for groups of approximately 8–40 people.
Hosted at The Stone Building, the experience brings colleagues together to organise their temporary kitchen, prepare ingredients and cook their own paella, supported by the Paella Fella team. It combines practical teamwork, communication and a little friendly competition, finishing with the pleasure of sharing the food they have created.
No previous cooking experience is needed, making it an accessible way to bring colleagues together away from their usual working environment.
Paella Fella is now inviting expressions of interest from three or four businesses to become Founding Partners for the revamped experience. These early groups will take part and share feedback to help shape the proposition as it develops.
“We would love to hear from businesses looking for an enjoyable and different way to connect their teams,” adds Nick. “Our Founding Partners will have the opportunity to help us shape the experience and be part of this next stage from the beginning.”
The Stone Building also offers meeting space, catering and opportunities to combine a business session with a shared cooking experience – providing a flexible setting for team away days and smaller business gatherings.
