East Grinstead Museum appoints Lester Porter as its new Chair

Lester Porter

East Grinstead Museum, which tells the story of East Grinstead and the surrounding area, including the remarkable story of the Guinea Pig Club, announced today the appointment of Lester Porter as its new Chair of Trustees

Retiring chair, Lloyd Richards welcomed Lester to the Board bringing to it his significant business, charity and marketing expertise. Amongst his extensive experience, Lester has recently completed 6 years as a non-executive director of the Queen Victoria Hospital Trust, chairing both its Audit and Charity committees, so he is well placed to further enhance the already strong relationship between the museum and the hospital

Lester commented: “I am delighted to be given the opportunity to lead the museum as Trustee Chair through the next stage of its development. Following the success of the ‘Rebuilding Bodies and Souls’ exhibition launched in November 2016, we will continue to share with an ever growing audience the extraordinary story the museum has to tell”.
