Planning Consent

Was recently granted under application DM/23/0827 for 108 new houses at the former brickworks site in Hamsey Road, Sharpthorne. This includes a 12-hectare new country park.

Gatwick Expansion Examination

The first week of formal hearings for the above took place between 28 February and 6 March. The examination will end on 27 August 2024. Mid Sussex District Council, in conjunction with other neighbouring district councils, has been part of a large evidence-gathering input to submit a West Sussex Local impact Assessment to the examination. This will be tested and reviewed by the expert panel over the coming months.
